Players will be able to obtain new consumables from curios between waves of combat. The second is a mini-boss called the Thing From the Stars, and third is of course the Comet. The Miller will also be one of three new bosses. These enemies are part of the Miller's faction, as he and his workmen have become "lifeless husks" created by the"ever-growing crystalline influence" of the comet. Some waves will feature enemies from other regions of the Estate.
In order to reach the comet’s crash site, they must survive the onslaught. When players step foot onto the Farmstead, they will have to contend with endless groups of monsters in wave-based combat. It's no ordinary comet: it has an odd, "shifting, ephemeral hue of damnably abrasive intensity." This alien body has caused a bit of havoc over at old Miller's place, as an "unearthly groaning" can be heard coming from its ruins. The Color of Madness features a new region called The Farmstead, where what appears to be a comet has crashed. Red Hook Studios has announced the next round of DLC for its turn-based RPG Darkest Dungeon. A comet has crashed on The Farmstead in Darkest Dungeon, and it's caused a massive mess of things.
